Our Philosophy

People with intellectual and developmental disabilities have the same rights and protections afforded all citizens. Because of their disability, we accept the responsibility to assist them in exercising these rights so they may achieve the quality of life enjoyed by all.


Our Mission

Mobile Arc promotes and protects the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities by providing services and building relationships that encourage inclusion, participation, and engagement in the community.

 Our Profile

The Mobile Arc, was established in 1956 to respond to the needs of children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities

The Mobile Arc is a member of the Arc of Alabama, the Arc of the United States, and the United Way of Southwest Alabama. Mobile Arc has received 2016-17 funding from the United Way of Southwest Alabama for our work training and residential respite programs.



     Mobile Arc is actively seeking vendors who qualify as DBE's to supply parts and services at fair market prices. We are expanding business opportunities to those who qualify. You must be reliable and have proof of certification and financial standing. Interested parties are to contact Paul Funke, Mobile Arc Transportation Director, at pfunke@mobilearc.org or 251.479.7409. The current DBE goal for FY2017 for Mobile Arc is 3%. 

Mobile Arc ensures compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 49 CFR, Part 21, and has developed a Title VI program, Limited English Proficiency Plan, Notice of Protection against Discrimination, Complaint Form, and Complaint Procedures available below.
